Terms of Service

1. The service

Cassette Lab, ("we", "us") provides a desktop application and an optional cloud backup service for managing DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) project files on your personal computer. By creating an account or downloading the app you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. Cassette Lab accounts are personal — sharing your sign-in with another person or organisation is not permitted.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Cloud features (Pro and Studio tiers) are sold as monthly subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe. Pricing is shown on the  Pricing page. New Pro and Studio subscriptions include a 14-day free trial; we charge the card on file at the end of the trial unless you cancel.

You can cancel any time from the in-app Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time on downgrades or cancellations.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the DAW project files and metadata you upload to Cassette Lab. We process and store them solely to provide the service. We do not access, sell, or train on your content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Cassette Lab to store or distribute material that violates the law or the rights of others, to attempt to compromise the service, or to abuse free tiers (e.g. creating multiple accounts to bypass storage quotas).

6. Termination

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination, cloud-stored files are removed; files on your computer remain untouched.

7. Liability

Cassette Lab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data — keep local backups of work you cannot afford to lose.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
